EcoFair Marin is back, and better than ever! Join us on Sunday, September 9.

EcoFair Marin

Our second annual community celebration, inspired by San Rafael’s Climate Change Action Plan, honors Marin’s rich heritage of environmental stewardship and eco-innovation.

An exceptional partnership with Seven-Star, Inc., producer of nationwide Green Festivals, helps us celebrate healthy choices and promote a more sustainable future.

What you’ll see

Don’t miss keynote speaker Van Jones, renowned human rights leader, environmentalist, best-selling author and green jobs adviser to the Obama White House. See the schedule for additional presentations by local business, nonprofit and government leaders who are leading the charge into the future.

Exhibitors

Visit exhibitors who are showcasing innovative eco-living products and ideas, from organic beauty products, rainwater catchment supplies and plant-based dog food to biodegradable caskets, solar technology and green cleaning services. You’ll also see longtime local environmental stewards Point Reyes National Seashore and the Marine Mammal Center, among others.

Demos & Entertainment

Check out a variety of DIY demos, including furniture making, butter making, backyard chicken raising and more. Mill Valley educator and storyteller Susan Katz will read from her book My Mama Earth, and students from local high schools will discuss sustainability.

Don’t miss the Trashion Fashion Show or the display of Tesla, Volt and Fisker electric cars. And keep your little environmentalists happy in the UrbanSitter Kids’ Zone.

Ready for live music? Our lineup includes Congo-born Ricardo Lemvo and a variety of singer-songwriters, including Megan Slankard, Mike Gibbons and Sofi Rox, plus world-music composer Laura Inserra.

Food & Drink

Join us at 9 a.m. for an organic pancake breakfast ($8). Enjoy local organic food, beer and wine throughout the day from Lydia’s Organics, Kasa Indian Truck, El Huarache Loco, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Frey Vineyards, Three Twins Ice Cream, Weaver’s Coffee and Clif Bar.

Please bring reusable utensils and water bottles (refill at the complimentary water station) to help achieve our event’s zero-waste goals. Marin Sanitary Service and the Conservation Corps North Bay will provide waste diversion services.
